Good thoughts ’90. Opportunity often plays a large part in the rookie team selections, and both AP and TK had lots of it. The backcourt competition will likely get more intense next year despite the loss of Mackey. Ross, Alston, and Jenkins will all join the fight for minutes at the point and on the wing.
Interesting that you brought up Boykins. I was very high on him while we were recruiting him. He was recovering from surgery this season, and when he was getting into the flow a bit (10 points vs Colgate and 13 vs Bucknell in January) he had another season ending injury. I still think he could end up being a good player for them, but certainly the injuries are a little worrisome. I think Hankerson from BU will end up being an excellent PL player as well.
