Recorded a 1.95 pop time and 87 mph crow hop throw at Baseball Factory’s National Team Try-out on 5/18/14 at Bel Air, MD. Broke HS’s single season record for runs scored in 2014 with 29 (a record formerly held by Seattle Mariners 2012 2nd round pick Joe DeCarlo) and led the team to a league championship with a QAB % of a .628 and OBP% of .567 (20 hits and 20 walks). On 3/10/14, Jacob Gill, Philadelphia Region Director of Scouting for Prep Baseball Report wrote: “Garnet Valley (HS) has…arguably the state’s top catch-and-throw guy in Shanfeldt, the accuracy of whose throws is rare at the high school level.” HS varsity soccer player 2013.
