After 8-3/4 games, I have drawn one conclusion. While Shafnisky is a tough kid and a decent runner/scrambler, I’m not sure that he is the long term answer at QB. He has no arm strength at all which severely limits the offensive options. He leaves points on the field because he continues to underthrow the deep ball and is not consistently accurate on the intermediate throws. They need a QB who can get the ball down field. In addition, his decision making at times is poor (ie. the wounded duck before half that resulted in another HC TD).
The defensive line seems to be much better in the last two games. The dbacks, not so much.
