I don’t feel the same way about the number of bigs. With TK and JG limited, I think we were OK when JC and CB were in those spots. And maybe KM is the next option. But I completely agree the SC doesn’t belong in one of those spots. I do want to rewatch the game. In the first half, it felt like our bigs made a big impact, and CB did a very good job filling in later too, imo. However, I see that we gave up 14 offensive rebounds, including 7 (!!!!) to Foulland alone. Way, way too many. I want to go back and see how/why that happened.
I hope I’m wrong, but I don’t think we’ll see a big change in TKs arsenal at the rim. His polish is fantastic, and I don’t think strength is a problem. From what I’ve seen, the issue is hops. If he goes strong at a guy his size, there’s a very good chance he’s gonna eat it. To my recollection, he has never, in any circumstance, dunked in a game. I think we can see why. I love his game – don’t get me wrong. But I also don’t know that you can add 10″ to a guy’s vert. I hope I’m wrong. I think we just have to understand his strengths and style – and go to JG when you want a dunk.
