To me, the lack of facilities on campus — not the campus annex where Goodman, Cundey, Stabler etc. are — is a downer to all prospective students.
The valley is beautiful, but …
Based on the colleges I’ve seen, Taylor gym is average, at best, for what students expect today for $55,000 a year. It’s not convenient to get over the hill to play a pick up game of lax, soccer, baseball, etc. So people rarely do it.
Sorry, it’s a sore spot with me.
To me, the university ought to take that land it was bequeathed in the valley, consider trading it for land on the south side and consider a master plan that would benefit south side residents, too.
