Anyone change their mind about American after seeing them dominate Colgate this weekend? In a 1-game tournament their style is tough to crack, and if they get a lead a 6 point deficit feels like a 16 point deficit. Not saying that Lehigh shouldn’t have played better and won, I still think they should have, but their win over Colgate at least made me pause a little.
Before the tournament it did seem like a toss-up year, and when the No. 8 team brought Bucknell to OT and the No. 2 seed was pounded in a horrible matchup vs. American, it certainly seems 100% correct.
Wednesday will be interesting. I don’t see a favorite in that game. If Lafayette sees themselves as prohibitive favorites they will almost certainly lose.
