Can’t remove yourself from consideration – and no player would want to. Why limit yourself to being drafted once – when you have no leverage whatsoever – if you have a chance to get drafted twice, once with some leverage in the negoatiations.
Baseball America’s top 500 does not have much correlation with who gets drafted or where, once they are past the 2nd round. There are players in their top 150 still not taken. You can see what a crap shoot the rankings are if you compare the BA list to the MLB list. Huge differences.
