I am in need of some guidance (Bison, I know you are out there somewhere :-)).
How does the recruiting process work? A coach has 3 openings on his team. He wants 2 big men and a PG. In the process he hands out about 20-25 offers.
If the 5th alternative for PG readily accepts the offer since he doesn’t anticipate a better one, I will assume that the coach is required to provide the scholarship. Does he rescind the offers to the top 4 choices?
It seems to me to be one giant game of chicken.
