The Penn State/Boston College game (Pinstripe Bowl) a month later ended up topping it with an official attendance of 49,012. However, that was the only Pinstripe Bowl that topped Lehigh/Lafayette 150 attendance-wise; even the 2013 Pinstripe Bowl that featured Notre Dame and Rutgers didn’t draw as many fans as the 150 game.
BTW, I’m originally from the Lehigh Valley but live in the DC area now and have no formal ties to either Lehigh or Lafayette, but I was there (thanks to Lafayette fan on the AGS and Lafayette Sports Forum sites, “Pards Rule”).
