Holy Cross tried to test our defense by pulling their somewhat successful pocket passer QB and tried to become a Colgate-like offense with Bell and Cozier, who let’s not forget had 100 yards rushing vs. Harvard last week.
HC didn’t pull their pocket passer (Wade). He was hurt vs Harvard and unavailable for the LU game. That forced them to use Bell, which gave them almost no chance.
This is a fair point. The official line was that he was hurt in practice (warmups?), thus Bell got the start. The game notes had Wade on top of the depth chart. Whatever the case, it didn’t work after the first drive and Bell lost his passing confidence quickly.
