Question for you guys who think if we can hold Edmonds to 30-40 carries for 150-200 yards we can win:
I haven’t done the math, but if Edmonds has a day anywhere near that — and assuming the QB throws a little and there are other OK plays — how much time of possession might Fordham have? Will we get the ball enough?
Seems potentially like a lot to me if Edmonds runs 30-40 times and average 4 to 5 yards per carry. He could have some 80-yarders, I guess, and not much else.
What does everyone think about that?
In 59-42 loss to FU last year, time of possession was about even. We were outgained 545-491, but picked off four times on 23-41 passing. (Mayes 16-38-205, 3 picks) (Shaf 7-11-138, 1 pick). FU’s Anderson was 10-16-166 w/4 TDs.
Edmonds was 31-349 with two long rushing TDs, 60 and 75, and a long passTD reception, 54. Also a 9-yard rushing TD.
In 49-42 loss last year to Colgate, it won TOP 30:56 to 29:04. We outgained CLG 503-489.
