I feel bad for guys like Caslow and Shaf: They play football their whole lives to play in a game like this and it ends this way. You want to be in there when the game’s on the line.

One day we’ll find out the details about who felt how on the QB situation. If the QBs felt that badly, establishing a running game would have really taken the pressure off. The O line seemed quite challenged today.

I’d love to hear the decision-making on which QB played when and why.

The D was the D. Did Kauffman play? I kept seeing sophomore Walker in there at LB for Caslow.

Like Rich said, one man does not make a defense. As someone else said, the CAA is not the Ivy or PL. It’s great our D can dominate several of the IL and PL offenses. Is that what our coaching staff has recruited/prepared them for? Is that the goal?

Despite the 3 INTs, our DBs sometimes looked like deer in the headlights, playing the man, never even looking at the ball. Luckily the BACKUP UNH QB was not as accurate as our QBs usually are.

Missed tackles– argh. Haven’t seen that in weeks.

Today LU gave up 637 yards and 64 points, including 100+-yard games for two RBs (one with 184 yards on the day). The D or coaching staff was asleep on a two-point conversion early in the game.

Against a 7-4 team that was worried it wouldn’t get in the playoffs for the first time in more than a decade.

LU this year was a GREAT Patriot League team and champion. They have a lot to be proud of. It’s never easy to win all of your league games.

The good news is lots of guys are back and will have a really bitter taste in their mouths.

I look forward to next year, especially if we can start playing DEFENSE with the rest of the nation’s teams. Defense wins championships.

If we can’t, we might still have a tough time with Fordham, Holy Cross and Colgate and, if we win, have a tough time in the first round.
