Are you sure Safstrom was a walk-on? If I go back to the 2007-2008 roster, there were 14 players listed. Hunter and Pellulo were certain walk-ons.
Reed as a real aversion to playing walk-ons other than last minute mop-up duties, no matter the resume they came here with. Brian Hunter was POY in the Lehigh Valley averaging 22 ppg. He got 11 minutes in 8 games. Cole Renninger was 2nd team AAAA All-state and only got cleanup minutes except for Penn State Palo-Alto. Safstrom played 29 minutes in 10 games in his freshman year.
