The regional will feature all California schools other than Lehigh with Cal State Fullerton ans San Jose St joining UCLA in the bracket. Perhaps we will find out if the extended trip to California early in the season was good preparation. I think Lehigh will be competitive there.
Interestingly, Nicole Yozzo was the 2 X offensive MVP for Amador Valley HS, which was the #1 team in the country. The biggest reason for that honor though was Johanna Grauer, who was the National Player of the Year and now one of the top pitchers at UCLA. I believe they were classmates.
