[quote quote=32184]Ok gentlemen. I’ve only posted on here once before. But of course when someone calls my son out the way he did, I felt the need.
We really appreciate all of the support Brad is getting in his first year as the starter. He is still learning as Rich said. He happens to lead the country in points accounted for with 92, is tied for 1st in the country with 14 TD’s and is 2nd in the country with 1488 yards. As his dad and former coach, it frustrates me a great deal when he makes mistakes. It frustrates Brad so much more. Yes he would rather trade all of these accomplishments to be 4-0. This would never be questioned if you knew him. To expect him not to make mistakes is ridiculous. As Rich said, it sounds like OO wants him to be perfect. He will never be perfect. I am assuming that OO is a previous college QB and has the experience and knowledge to criticize one as he did. I personally doubt this as he stated that Brad is “not playing well” (see the above stats), “missing reads”, and “holding on to the ball too long”. These posts by OO went way beyond what this forum should be about. You made this personal and called my son out for not only his play on the field, but also questioned his heart. Again, if you knew him you would never question his heart. As stated before, he took responsibility for his mistakes and continues to put the blame on himself, stating that he put the defense in tough spots and called our offensive line the best in the league.
What I want and need to say to OO about the disrespect he showed my son can only be discussed in person. I will be at the Georgetown game and I am begging you to seek me out, so that we can further discuss my son’s performance so far this year and go over all of your credentials that give you the right to criticize him like you do. My cell phone is XXX-XXX-XXXX. Don’t hide behind this forum OO. Let’s see how much shit you talk about my son in person.
For what it’s worth, Brad played that game with the flu and had a 100 degree fever shortly before the game, but I’m sure OO knew that. Question his heart OO? Really?
I would also like to remind everyone on the forum that although only a few of the same people post on this site, most of the parents and players read it religiously. Again, thanks to all of those that are supporting Brad and the team so far this season, even if it’s been tough so far.
