8 or 11 concussions on a team of 80-90 players, imo, is not ‘high’. Since early August the players have been through practices and games, well over 100 days. I think back to my time in football and I know I had concussions that were never treated other than the smelling salts and some ice on neck. Then back in the game once the ‘cobwebs’ cleared. Keep in mind. There are different levels of “concussions” in their score. Moreover, concussions can occur without trauma to the head. The ‘whipping’ of the head as a reaction to trauma in hitting the ground or being tackled can cause a concussion as well. A little information is dangerous as too many people do not understand its nature or context.
