While it has taken time for the offense to gel – to no one’s surprise with the influx of new faces, Ojo’s illness, CJ’s cold hand, and the on-going fight for playing time at nearly every position highlighted by 11 players already earing double-digit minutes – the defense has shined. Sure, Cornell hit 10 treys but what else is new? That’s their game and their per game average. What impressed me was LU’s D against the two-point shot (9 for 29 for .310), the turnovers they forced (21), and their work on the offensive board. A win is a win and I’ll certainly take it against a team with the pedigree of Cornell.
