I think he originally came from Florida. Played track in Washington State as well, so you have to surmise he’s a speedster. He also played at 6’1 170 (and also was quoted as 6’2 185) as a senior, according to the Seattle Times.
Mercer Island seems to be a real big football school in the Pacific NW. Idzik was one of the co-captains on that squad.
He could be a find. It’s amazing that kids always seem to fall through the cracks of recruiting and find themselves in FCS schools.
