Thanks for the update TMH, that is awesome inside info.
While I hope the staff doesn’t eat a scholarship again next year, I do like the idea of having one in the pocket for late blooming high school seniors (especially big guys), transfers, or kids that might be let out of their LOI after a coaching change. It gives added flexibility. For example, depending on how DC or SW’s rehabs are going, the staff could prioritize a backcourt or frontcourt guy for depth, or just hold on in case a sleeper falls into their lap.
I too have high hopes for JC, and he is a total wildcard. It’s pretty exciting, but it is a classic case of the second string QB. Everyone loves him because there is no reason not to, yet he has proven nothing.
