I learned that BB is far more like Chris Lum than Mike Colvin from a skill set perspective. The problem to me at least was that the play calling was still from last year. BB was saddled with a lot of 3rd and longs through much of the game. When he was finally allowed to throw on 1st down, the opportunities really opened themselves up and he took advantage of them. He doesn’t have Colvin’s arm strength or innate running ability but I thought he had a really nice touch and threw some really accurate deep balls.
I wonder if we may see some Shafnisky in a wildcat situation similar to Colvin’s junior year. Just a thought.
