Okay everyone, take a deep breath. Yes, that was a bad loss…and yes, we failed to play defense.
Think back a year ago. A bad loss in the PL opener a year ago to Holy Cross. Why? We failed to get back on defense. Same thing in the loss at American, after which we didn’t lose another game until Xavier in the NCAA tourney. For whatever reason, this team occasionally needs to be reminded that defense is part of the game too. I imagine that was made painfully clear to them after the game. Unless poor defense becomes a habit, this tgeam will be allright.
