    Yup. Dont assume all are full. I E , a recruit w large need could still get full ride, 1/2 merit &1/2 need. Andy saud in article this week we were giving both full and partial schollies.

    We are doing well so far but on paper Gate is doing much better.

    Great work on this.  Sounds like a good weekend.  Are we still in the running for the two OL from Archbishop Wood?

     

    Do we always pick up players at every position every year?

    Nothing to indicate we’re not.
    Andy’s practice has been to recruit every position each class as close as possible. Very tough to do this yr. Certain that will have players in every set, LBs,OL,Wr etc. We can take in a class in the low 20s, exact # depends on nonreturners or possible cuts.

    No one has done better than Andy at recruiting balanced classes.

    Last year every position but QB (1 senior graduating)  and FB (2 excellent juniors

    and no seniors).

    2 years ago, every position but FB.

    3 years ago, every position, even a LS.  Although only 2 DL from that class which is

    putting us in a tight spot at that position next year, IMO.

    DB probably a key position in this class, as we have 5 graduating next year, 3 of the 5 possibly starters.

    Also need a FB, Hayden and Farrell both graduating, unless there is a medical year for one of them.

    Also, OL, Rugg, Lippincott and Hood all juniors this year.

    Crawford could be the FB. UD was recruiting him for that spot.
    Expect a couple more OL, a db and a NG ,I hope. Given our D a few more LBs would not be a shock ,altho we have excellent young depth.

    Andy always likes to stock LBs, they become valuable for special teams as well.

    As you can tell, I have some time on my hands tonight and I really like what I see in these recruits. Brandon Leaks may be an A/C safety but after watching his videos, I want the ball in his hands. You can’t teach this kind of escapability.

    Yup. If you like Leaks, go back and see video on Knott. He is special, albeit tiny.
