No changes. At least none that are being revealed
November 18, 2014 at 7:03 pm #16760Whose going and can we meet up for quick chat pre game at the stadium?
November 18, 2014 at 7:16 pm #16761I’ll be there. I hope to be arriving about 2:30.
November 18, 2014 at 7:42 pm #16763Me,got to be somewhere to meet up. Any ideas?
November 18, 2014 at 7:53 pm #16765Wish I could be there, but already have 2 PA trips in November – a third just wasn’t practical. I’ll be hanging out with the Triangle Lehigh crowd at their gathering, and bleeding brown!! Cautiously optimistic.
Hope you guys have a blast in NYC!November 18, 2014 at 8:37 pm #16767Reed not starting for Pards. Searfoss again.
November 18, 2014 at 10:35 pm #16768And Mark Ross graduated, now if we can just contain Ross S. I’d put 2 spies on him.
November 18, 2014 at 11:37 pm #16769I don’t believe for a second Ross isn’t playing unless he’s on crutches.
November 19, 2014 at 7:17 pm #16782Yosha cleared to practice from k.ee injury.
Rumor. Team will done throw back uniz fod 150. Surprise wont be unveiled til Sat.November 20, 2014 at 6:52 am #16790I plan to be there. No clue how to meet up with you guys/gals.
1) Yes, I saw a tweet that said something special uni-wise was revealed Sunday.
2) As much as a Lehigh fan as I’ve been over the years — most of my friends and family think I’m crazy — I’m not even feeling guilty about NOT being EXCITED for this game.
Most years it has really become a big deal — playoff implications on the line in one way or another.
This year, when it should really be big, we’ve got two 3-7 teams?
No place to tailgate with our buds?
3:30 start? Massive traffic after! What time will be get home or back to our hotels — 8 or 9? Playing in dark when it’s nippy out, so far away from the field?
A secondary that seems to get burned at every turn against a team that can exploit it?
I’m just not that excited. …
Should be a close game but …
I’m already looking forward to basketball and wrestling season and 2015 football season.
So ambivalent I won’t make a prediction. A tie would be a fitting finish, but impossible, I guess.
Hopefully I’ll be surprised …
November 20, 2014 at 6:55 am #16791BTW: I do not know how badly Reed has been hurt, but — if he can go — I would not put it past Tavani to see Reed early, if not on the opening drive.
I do love the mini-mind-games Tavani has played against us over the years.
Expect fakes, onsides kicks, yada, yada … I guess it could be a fun game
November 20, 2014 at 7:28 pm #16797Three running plays from 1st-and-goal at the 1 would be OK by me.
November 20, 2014 at 7:33 pm #16798Ah but we would nedd Groome to take on that:)
November 20, 2014 at 8:19 pm #16800My first Lehigh-Lafayette since our kids started to arrive (oldest turns 40 this year). Went from 1968 thru about 1979. Every one a great game, particularly Rizzo-Diorio-Hill bludgeoning of the ‘Pards November 1971. Hopefully its a great game and a win, but it sure has the makings of a stinker. At least I can finally say I’ve visited the house that The Boss built.
November 21, 2014 at 4:27 am #16804Welcome back, jimk72! That Rizzo-Diorio-Hill bludgeoning was the first or second one my dad took me to (I was 11 and went with my dad to his fraternity after the game, as we would do every other year until I, naturally, matriculated.). An amazing, record-setting game — just before the roots of Air Lehigh and future NFL QB McQuilken.
I hope you enjoy the personal experience. You’ve got to go to the one at Goodman next year; the setting in Saucon Valley is great.
