Thanks SBum, I’m excited for the future, but still want to see us add atleast 1 more name to 2013!!!
What are your thoughts on who might still be around/interested/good fit for LU for 13?
November 30, 2012 at 3:48 pm #8219Hey Hoops, I answered your question and updated the ’13 thread to keep things tidy. Long story short, the only legit big guy still uncommitted who know held an LU offer at one time is Michael Owona, and I’d love to have him. Maybe a late blooming sr big?
December 12, 2012 at 3:38 pm #8393New name via twitter:
Mike Richardson@Richardsonmike2
Wagner and Lehigh are expressing interest in 2014 St. Anthonys (NJ) SG Cheddi Mosely. Richmond,FAU,and Dartmouth have offered.January 10, 2013 at 8:02 pm #8847Things have been pretty quiet on the 2014 recruiting front, but here is a tidbit to take the mind off the injury bug that has hit CJ, Devon, and Shane.
Joe Dicruttalo@JDicruttalo
Interest continues to grow for @NEplayaz 2014 G Jeff Spellman. Lehigh coaching staff to be in attendance tonight as Beaver takes on Lex CathJanuary 12, 2013 at 6:49 pm #8868Spellman interest appears real, I got to get up to see him if I can this year, he is in my freeking backyard.
January 14, 2013 at 3:36 pm #8898Judging from highlight clips alone Spellman is a stud and super athletic and fun to watch. At this juncture it is easy to say that I’d love to have him, but I know he is getting recruited pretty heavily and attended a recent BC home game right behind the BC bench. Looks like he will have his choice of a few high major offers and a slew of Northeast mid majors. And he’s a coach’s son I belive.
January 25, 2013 at 3:37 pm #9107This article mentions an offer from Lehigh for Peyton Aldridge (although the article says he is a senior when in fact he is a junior). The original article plus some more Peyton Aldridge links below.

February 24, 2013 at 4:34 am #9560Well, we managed to land Tim Kempton’s namesake this year. Apparently we have offered Lindsey Hunter IV for 2014

taking a visit at lehigh university!March 6, 2013 at 8:59 pm #9702The board isn’t letting me post the rest of Brett’s tweet, nor the youtube link. Not sure what’s up, but you can goodle the video easily.
April 18, 2013 at 3:52 pm #10158Another name with LU interest:
ZUMWALT NORTH’S GLOTTA HAS TWO OFFERS
High-scoring Fort Zumwalt North junior combo guard Chaz Glotta has attracted plenty of early recruiting interest and already holds two Division I offers, from Cornell and Northern Colorado.
A 6-1 guard, Glotta was a third-team All-Metro selection this winter when he led the area in scoring at 26 points per game and also averaged 4.3 rebounds, 4.1 steals and 2.4 assists.
The Panthers went 22-6 and won conference and district titles.
Zumwalt North coach Charles Glotta, Chaz’s father, reported Chaz also has interest from St. Louis University, Southern Illinois, SIU Edwardsville, Drake, Lehigh, Yale and Lipscomb University.
April 18, 2013 at 5:16 pm #10159Now that we are officially in 2014 recruiting season, let’s recap.
In 2014, we will likely have the following members on our roster:
Guards/Wings….Sr. Schaefer,Cvrkalj, Soph, Carter (assume medical redshirt),Price,Simelton, Glover, Renninger
Forwards/Centers….Baltimore Jr. Chuku, Goldsborough Soph, Kempton, WhitfieldAssuming Renninger remains a preferred walk-on, although that may change based on performance, that would mean that there ar 3 scholarships available
with 4 bigs and 7 guards already accounted for.
What is the strategy? Go with the best available regardless of size? Target more bigs next year? Resign ourselves to playing small most of the time?
Just some items for discussion.April 18, 2013 at 5:30 pm #10160If only I could count. Make that 5 bigs and 7 guards with only 2 scholarships available. Now it seems apparent that there may not be any desperate needs and we look for the best players available.
