I would love to see up play some Horizon schools–especially the University of Detroit (now called Detroit Mercy). Great history there with Spencer Heywood, Dave DeBuscher (sp?), and a place Dick Vitale coached in the mid-70’s. Callahan Hall on the Detroit campus was called “The Detroit Zoo” when I was in grad school there.

It’s a triple feature. The wrestling team (preseason #13) will be wrestling at the NE Duals against Minnesota AND Nebraska that Sunday at 10 a.m. and then 1 p.m. in Troy, NY.

Hel,, let’s make it a foursome and head out to Canisius for the Monday game!

I will be taking in both the Syracuse and Colgate games. With family in Utica (50 miles east of Syr), it’s a no-brainer. Await word from LU TIX (Rich Hass) as to our ticket allotment at the Dome.

LU Ticket Office confirms there is no plan to run a bus to Syracuse. The Southside Boosters will undoubtedly be going to Colgate., however.

If any Southside Booster members could share plans for that weekend, it would be appreciated! If that doesn’t work out, it sounds like we may need to make our own plan – first ever “Lehigh Forum Road Trip”!

UPDATE: I found and checked out the Southside Boosters’ website. They do have a trip headed to ‘gate, but it will be for football only. Bus leaves on Saturday morning. So if we want to do a multi-sport trip, I think we’re on our own.

Been wondering the same thing for a few years, jimk. I think I’ve got it figured out now.
I believe that it’s entirely driven by the high-profile guarantee games. Last year, I think the ‘nova game was the holdup. At this point, I suspect that it’s UVA. I think it’s probably part of the deal – we can announce those games when “daddy says we can”. Seems like this is what we heard though 6-degrees-of-separation info on the ‘cuse game this year. I’m betting we can’t announce until UVA does.
