Always a bit depressing but a fact of life,99.9% of list makes huge errors going elsewhere
September 2, 2015 at 4:18 am #21426Lehigh is getting an official visit from Henry Welsh along with Harvard and UC Irvine. Younger brother of UCLA rising soph Thomas Welsh.
September 2, 2015 at 4:26 am #21427Impressed . Question a 6’9. 230 *** ,with no offets?
September 2, 2015 at 9:55 am #21428Rich that does seem odd that VC has no offers listed. ESPN is usually pretty tough in there ratings (but often incomplete), but they have him listed as 3*. Maybe he’s just not talking. Can someone have offers and nothing makes the internet? Is that possible today?
September 2, 2015 at 11:53 am #21429Very interesting! I agree that it seems odd that there’s so little info available for such a highly-rated guy. But bear in mind, there was very little info available on the web for TK a couple of years ago. I suspect that a prospect may have the ability to keep things relatively quiet/private. I’m guessing that the schools probably aren’t in any big hurry to advertise who they are recruiting. That said, I did find some more info on Scout – including some offers.
September 2, 2015 at 12:01 pm #21430As todd pointed out a while back VC does not always have all a kids offers but just struck me that none of the Natl sites have any. A relatively high profile Player.Guessing that he’s not making official visits on spec. I would think he is visitong schools that offered.
September 2, 2015 at 12:04 pm #21431There you go :). todd to the rescue.
September 10, 2015 at 3:44 am #21636As we watch a bunch of highly regarded PGs on our list commit elsewhere (September sucks too), a new name popped up tonight. I really like what I see. Jordan Cohen – apparently we and Bucky both offered today (or recently), and he holds an Army offer. Undersized, but I like his highlight reel. First I’ve ever seen, I think, that put on-ball D and assists at the top of their video. Undersized, which probably makes him accessible to us, but impressive stuff. Video is a year old – but also indicates that he shot 54% from 3. Has to be a small sample size… but still!! More research to do.
September 10, 2015 at 3:50 am #21637Not surprisrd if Doc made this offer to cheer you up todd :).
Video is impressive. Kid is very quick.September 10, 2015 at 4:02 am #21638ha! i’m certain that it was for me! just a tad grumpy today – saw one of our PG prospects commit to Miami of Ohio today. Wut??? Is playing for a toilet team in the MAC that attractive??
Trying to take a deep breath… I’ve never watched a Miami OH game, but they probably draw bigger crowds, more exciting environment. And the MAC is definitely a higher-profile hoops conference. Maybe facilities are really nice too? I dunno. Maybe playing behind KR for 2 years is an obstacle too.
I’m sure my LU bias has nothing to do with my puzzlement…September 16, 2015 at 3:22 am #21805We got number 2 for 2016! It is reported that Jordan Cohen, recently added to our list, committed tonight! See 3 posts back; I’ll look for more info in the morning.
September 16, 2015 at 3:36 am #21806Thats the water bug G right? Very quick. Nice to get some good news after the last 4 days.
September 22, 2015 at 10:13 pm #21989Former IL PF Jack Lieb, now doing post grad at Brewster Academy will be visiting Lehigh this weekend.
At 6-10, 235#, he certainly has the size to play at this level but there are certainly injury concerns after missing a good part of both his junior and senior seasons to both a back injury and ACL tear respectively.September 23, 2015 at 1:31 am #21995Looked at some of his video. Agile,if not quick. Injuries concerning.
October 14, 2015 at 9:30 pm #22655Glad we got Lieb today – just saw that Henry Welsh committed to Harvard.
