Rothstein tweeted this morning that Xavier will be hosting Lehigh this coming season. Really like this game.

Xavier will host Lehigh as part of its 2016-17 non-conference schedule, source told @CBSSports.April 8, 2016 at 4:57 pm #26373Would be nice if we beat them this time
April 8, 2016 at 5:46 pm #26374Whose Rothstein?
April 8, 2016 at 6:26 pm #26376Great game, early announcement.
April 10, 2016 at 10:18 pm #26403Spoke to Coach Reed today and can announce that, in addition to opening the year at Xavier, we’ll be traveling south this year to face the Red Wolves of Arkansas State (Jonesboro….home of KR) and the Bulldogs of Mississippi State (Southeast Conf). Additional road games will include: Yale, Mt. St. Mary’s, and Stony Brook. We’ll welcome Francis (Pa), and Robert Morris to Stabler. More to come, I’m sure.
April 11, 2016 at 12:14 am #26404Oh yeah, I forgot………….Princeton comes to Stabler, also.
April 11, 2016 at 12:23 am #26405Thanks 65. Seems slightly less daunting so far than last year. Interesting tho for a non maven like me.
April 11, 2016 at 1:17 am #26406And, here’s another one sure to please…we’ll head to Phily to take on LaSalle.
April 11, 2016 at 1:38 am #26407LaSalle would be great as a series. Building an OOC with some very interesting more local teams.
April 11, 2016 at 2:06 am #264081. Any chance La Salle comes to Stabler next year?
2. last year we had 11 OOC games, which means well see 1 more road game and the tune up home game( Roch College, Mount alto etc)April 11, 2016 at 2:10 am #26409Don’t count on LaSalle returning the favor the following year. That’s just the way it is.
April 11, 2016 at 4:07 am #26410Wow, lot of info. As it stands now, Princeton is going to be VERY good next year. That is a fun home game. Trying to summarize this a bit visually:
Home
Princeton
Robert Morris
St. Francis (PA)Road
Xavier
Miss St
Arkansas State
Stony Brook
Yale
Mount St. Mary’s
LaSalleColumbia and Canisius were two other road games last year. Would be nice if at least one more of those series was continuing for another decent home game.
April 11, 2016 at 12:30 pm #26411SB, I can only assume we had a “home ‘n home” two-year commitment(2013-2014 and 2014-2015) with each Columbia and Canisius. That said, I would imagine we will pick up an 11th game.
April 11, 2016 at 4:24 pm #26412Great info.
Not as much sizzle, but a lot of winnable games.
LaSalle was terrible this past year, only won 9 games overall.
Arkansas St was also terrible in the Sun Belt, only won 11 games overall.
So, those are games we could easily win. Glad to see a Big 5 team on the schedule for the first time since the Nova game in Allentown and the away St. Joe’s game a few years back.
Stony Brook will be way down, lost coach, and Jamal Warney and Carson Puriefoy will have graduated. Another winnable game.
Yale and Princeton may be 2 best teams in the Ivy next year, so they will be tough.
Even Miss St was pretty bad this year, near bottom of SEC and under .500.
Would like to see us play .500 basketball or better in the OOC.

April 11, 2016 at 5:36 pm #26417How does the upcoming OOC Schedule shape-up in terms of expected difficulty when compared to the schedules announced prior to the two most recent campaigns?
