Covington is in my backyard, so I know a little bit about him. He is playing for Neumann-Goretti, in South Philly, which is a Philly Catholic League powerhouse. He also plays for Team Final AAU, which is basically a pipeline for players into Neumann-Goretti, and one of the stronger AAU programs. Smallish PG, but very young, and should contribute this season on his high school squad. He is behind a couple of really good prospects in Jaquan Newton (who recently signed at Miami, after holding a ton of major offers, as he is probably the best player in Philly) and “Fresh” Kimble, who is another PG with high offer potential (a lot of Big 5 schools are interested, and some early lower offers at places like Drexel). Once these 2 move out, Covington’s stock should really start to rise. I think he projects to higher than Patriot League level, but very young at this point (2016). Here is a little write up on him.
