Scott,Gies,Parsons,Robb,Walker and Frankel charged with felony trespass. The stupidity is epic.Originally thought frosh would not be involvdd in a dumb frat stunt. I was wrong. Gies and Walker only 2 that saw PT.
We may be looking for a much larger recruit class.

December 10, 2015 at 1:53 am #24264Some checking trespass ,even tho charged as a felony,is not particularly serious at least criminally.
December 10, 2015 at 2:30 am #24265I’ll provide the link for you Rich
December 10, 2015 at 3:17 am #24267Thanks. Sorry to be such a lame with links. Screw’em up every time, smh.

Crazy stuff. Years ago the police would not have gotten involved, but most people were living on campus.
Has anyone seen if they’ve charged the alleged assailant(s) who reportedly attacked the Chi Psi brother in the first place?
December 10, 2015 at 4:24 am #24270No,all we know is that these numbskulls went after the wrong kids.
Stunts like this were not common back in my day. They did happen. They were just as dumb but very little consequences. As you said,it was all.on campus.- This reply was modified 9 years, 1 month ago by RichH.
December 10, 2015 at 8:01 pm #24272Parsons invoked his Fifth Amendment right to not speak with authorities, but was identified by fellow player Maxwell Frankel, a defensive back, as the person who urinated in the refrigerator.
Nobody likes a snitch. Frankel better find another school.
December 10, 2015 at 8:16 pm #24273Start to finish,a dumb stunt. Court and LU proceedings will play out. Unlikely any jail time for these 6. Githens may face jail. Githens likely gone. Others suspended at the very least to next year.
December 14, 2015 at 12:45 am #24299Shocked if Githens not gone. Similar to the assault at the bar a couple years ago. The others will all depend on level of activity and intent on being present. I thought the students got some kind “training” about avoiding this kind of stuff from the athletic dept?
December 14, 2015 at 2:46 am #24304They do have education and orientation. Guess it didn’t stick with this bunch. Alcohol does kill brain cells. Phillips case quite a bit more serious. But,agree assault will likely result in expulsion. Other than the fact that the others, except for Parsons, were present we have no idea the nature of their participation. Would not be surprised if some of them transfer. A sad and embarrassing event for all concerned.
December 14, 2015 at 4:27 am #24305The university offers (even requires, at times — far more than years ago) lots of other education on social stuff to students, too.
Two thoughts:
1) I do not recall alcohol being connected to this incident, but …
There is research out — not sure how much the new “Concussion” film will get into it — that shows how devastating combinations of alcohol and concussions can be in people under 25.
While that has nothing to do with this incident — that we know of — it is known more now than ever that alcohol and contact sports do not mix (particularly among folks less than 25, where brains are still developing).
I wish I had known the magnitude of this when I was younger.
2) While it’s easy for us old folks to talk about this, persuading a teenager to consistently make good, instant decisions connected to the dangers of alcohol and other risky behavior is another story.
Sorry to blabber on.
December 14, 2015 at 4:41 am #24306Not blabber sunday. Most of us have the same mixed feelings. LU does have an in depth frosh orientation program as well as an extensive leadership program.
Speculation about alcohol but it does seem probable given their behavior.December 15, 2015 at 6:32 pm #24317My last word on this issue.

December 15, 2015 at 10:34 pm #24321According to many here and the new position created for her….I thought Julie was suppose to take care of and help in this matter before it happens. ??????? yep! Athletic Leadership Development
December 15, 2015 at 11:03 pm #24322Julie has been running this national program at Lehigh. It is aimed at the devdopement of leadership skills as well as accountability and personal developement. She works with all the athletes not just football. From what I’ve learned frkm various sourcss she has done a remakable job. Moreover, apart from that frosh athletes have a apecific orientatjon as to dos and donts and time management. That a few drunk players chose to ugnore those is not a fair assessment of the programs. More a co,ment about they’re immaturity.
