I’d like to have the month of November sponsored by “Lafayette – Lehigh #150” on the Any Given Saturday (AGS) forum. Many of you know that AGS is the premier FCS discussion forum and that AGS sponsors a well-respected national poll. Tens of thousands log on to AGS every day.

I have communicated with the operator of the forum. We can have a banner across the top of the AGS web page (which I can design) and have a “fact-a-day” feature posted at the top as well. I have little doubt that we can, collectively, provide well in excess of a “fact-a-day” regarding the Lafayette – Lehigh Rivalry.

This will require a modest donation to AGS. I was thinking of reaching out to the Lafayette and Lehigh AD offices or to the PL office but I’d rather the sponsorship come directly from fans if possible.

If any of you are interested in contributing to a “Lafayette – Lehigh #150” sponsorship on AGS, please send me a PM on the Lafayette Board – http://lafayettesports.myfreeforum.org/index.php

    Thanks to all.

AGS has set up a link for me to provide “fact-a-day” items that will go in a sticky post at the top of the AGS forum in November.

I’d like to start gathering interesting facts and historical notions about The Rivalry for inclusion. I’m sure we’ll have no problem filling up much more than a fact per day.

Please submit facts that you guys would like to be certain are included. RichH and I then will coordinate and cross-check the “facts” before final submission. I think we could allow a few clever and witty barbs at one another through the course of it (PG rated) provided they are balanced.

Please post your suggested facts here or in the AGS Sponsorship thread on the Lafayette board – http://lafayettesports.myfreeforum.org/about2924.html – or PM RichH here.

Donations to the sponsorship effort can be made through the AGS donation page. Anything from a Lafayette or Lehigh fan will count towards the sponsorship.

    Thanks to all.

Made my contribution a couple weeks ago. One of my favorite memories was when the goal posts came down at halftime at Taylor Stadium when we were up by a bazillion, or at least a big bunch, in fall of 1974. Twas my first L-L game as an alum.

At Pards,57-7. Do remember scene. Epic. My memory tho w leaving game and all the scuffles for pieces and following a Chevy back to LU with 2 guys sitting on roof clinging to a 10-12 ft piece of goalpost.

I remember Taylor, so it must have been 1975. But that was a heck of a run.

Last game at Taylor, COLD, how cold..tailgating in Taylor, South Side Boosters refreshments were in the dugout, hot chocolate in 20 gal container and it froze solid. Lehigh won before a very cold/frozen fans.

Forgot the tundra game. Good catch chip. Only time I ever left early. Made it to early 3rd. Never been so cold. We left went to the Roosevelt ,just behind visitor’s side. Rusty Nails, purely for medicinal purposes :).
That day definitely worthy of posting on AGS. Thanks chip.
