Tough game vs 1st place team. Not outclassed but definitely outplayed. If only we played D. We have talent but D continues to be an on and off affair.

100% agreed. Some kids are not held accountable for their lack of defensive effort. Also, they need to do a better job coaching. Talent is not used at its fair value and what are they running besides top of the key screens?? You can’t expect to shoot over 50% for an entire season. You need to find other ways (and players) to score for you. By now, everybody knows about Q and Cbu. Look at AU, 4 kids in double figures.
I also feel that the starting 5 has to be reevaluated and bench should be used as a potential productive unit, not as a bandaid when things go wrong.

Watching some now. Agree. Sue not a very good game coach. O is fairly good but I agree relies too much on shooting percentage. D is just a melee. IMO Benz has to start. Williams and Devaney rotate in. We need a backup point.

I guess Cbe is the only one who could come off the bench to replace MW in the starting five but she needs to be more reliable on D. I would also have GG come off the bench for a while. She’s struggling inside and is playing further and further away from the rim. Maybe MS and ME should be used as true post players down low, not just screeners for a pick and roll (that never happens anyway). That would definitely be anachronistic in 2018 when every team tries to copy the GS Warriors by beating opponents with threes. That would also mean a coaching staff less stubborn to adjust to the talent at hand and less reliance on perimeter play.

Meg a good choice inside. Sue seems locked in. Cant see the forest for the trees. D is there main issue. Q not much help there. Major issue is perimeter D. Not sure on GG. She has sort of disappeared but she also doesnt see the ball too often either.

Actually IMHO, the formula is quite simple. In the games we have more assists than turnovers we win.

We shoot a lot from the perimeter because frankly we are good at it. We are the best 3 pt shooting team in the PL and #60 out of 349 in the nation. However, when our shot isn’t on, we need to adapt as noted above. We play timid inside and frankly we don’t need to. We are a tall team with virtually everyone at or around 6-0. We can absorb some fouls. We need someone with the mental attitude of Lexi M.
With that being said, a bright spot is that we did have 14 offensive boards today

You are absolutely right but we only rotate 6 and they all want to shoot threes. I would love to see an inside game and a good old high low. It worked vs Bucknell with ME and CBe.
As I said, put ME or MS as true 5s and have GG and CBe as 4s playing closer to the paint. That will force the defense to stay on them and help Q, CBu and HH. We are too predictable right now. You shut down either Cbu or Q and you win.
