Just wondering if anybody from the Board headed to Richmond on Saturday.  With the game being televised, I assume unlikely.  I will be there with my sons in our Lehigh brown, if anybody going.  I have a decent feeling about this game.

Game is on TV…NBC Sports Network.

By the way, VCU will be coming into the game on fire. They’ve now won 8 straight beating East Tennessee State tonight 109-58.

One of their players hit 11 3’s tonight and the game was at ETSU. It appears Lehigh will have its work cut out for it on Saturday

Difficult game, no doubt, especially at their place, which is a big home court advantage, although I think their students still on break.  What I like about the matchup a little is we will not be overcome by their size.  Of their 6 leading scorers, 5 are smaller guys, and the 6th is Gabe’s size.  So, we won’t be giving up a ton of size like we did at Pitt and Baylor.  We need to defend well on the perimeter to control their 3 point shooting and their penetration.

I’ll be looking to see what kind of impact BJ has on the game.  If he’s the BJ of last year’s League play, then he should bring energy, athleticism, timely scoring, and most of all – inspiration.

    Hope he is ready ..

Hey Mountain Hawks Fans.  I’ve been looking forward to this game since it was put on our schedule. I grew up in the Valley and have lots of fond memories of my father taking me to Stabler for BB and the Lehigh Laffiett football games.

Our Students are still on break and if anyone is interested in coming down, tickets are still avaiable.

For games during the holiday break tickets will be available to purchase in an adjacent section next to the student area located behind the baskets in addtion to standing room only tickets. These tickets will be a bench seat in the Verizon Wireless Arena or a standing room only ticket.

Standing Room Only tickets are located on the concourse inside Verizon Wireless Arena and will serve as a reserved spot behind a specific section.

The holiday break games include: Western Kentucky, Longwood, Farleigh Dickinson, Lehigh, and Dayton.

    The Ticket Office is 804-828-7267

BJ Bailey could be a big key to the game, as in, BJ meet Troy Daniels, who you will be chasing around for the next 40 minutes outside of the 3 point line.  If you saw the ETSU-VCU highlights, this guy’s range extends to about 30 feet.  I would think BJ gets the assignment.  If Reed sticks AD on him, it will be a long day, and I will be the one screaming from the bleachers.  Can’t waste CJ on him as he needs energy for the offensive end.  Daniels is 6’4″, so exactly Bailey’s size.

If I am Coach Reed, I am showing this to BJ quite a bit over the next 48 hours.  He needs to be in his grill all game on Saturday.
