As usual, we never know too much about what is going on.

Two things we do know are CB is still at Lehigh, taking classes, according to his Twitter, so assuming he will be back and on scholarship. And, AD will not play at Lehigh next season. According to his Twitter, no scholarships available for him next year to play as a grad student.

So, that would seem to set it up like this.

    Seniors – CB, SC, CS
    Juniors – DC, JC, JG
Sophs – AP, MS, SW, TK,
    Frosh – KR, TJ, BA

So, that gets us to 13 players on scholarship.

That would leave the following as walk-ons.

Juniors – JRG (RS Junior, so 3 years of eligibility left)
    Sophs – GP, CR

And, finally, that leaves KM, Khalid McCaskill, who was a walk-on at UCLA. He redshirted during the ’11-’12 season, according to his UCLA bio, then, I guess played a season?, before transferring, so he would be in the junior class, but still have 3 years of eligibility remaining??

Also, will we really carry 4 walk-ons, and 17 players on the roster? Perhaps some of these walk-on, move along, like TS did?

I think you are spot on across the board. Agree that it appears JRG is a walk-on, which is great, since he had multiple offers out of high school and doesn’t appear to be counting against the 13 limit.

Wouldn’t be too surprised if GP doesn’t return next year. We know CR was recruited as a walk on, and McCaskill seems that way as well (mostly because they let him sit on the bench in the middle of the season and his pedigree). Whereas GP seemed to make the team from an open tryout process, and the staff may feel less loyalty there. 17 seems like a lot, but maybe Reed is comfortable with that many.

A little side note on the Lehigh roster. Apparently, Tyrone Staggers transferred to Div 3 Lake Forest College. Since he went to D3, he did not need to sit out this season and actually played this season. He played in 23 games, starting 12, and averaged 4.6 points per game. He gets to play and is close to home. So, win-win on the basketball front. Not sure he isn’t losing on the academic side, but to each his own.
