January 16, 2014 at 7:39 pm #13099Woah. This one is a surprise. Maybe Conroy is gone for good?
January 16, 2014 at 7:56 pm #13100Nice tweet from Steve Keller of National Recruiting Report this past summer.

Like 6’5 Jr 2G Brandon Alston at Hoop Group III/Has size/handle & good looking jumper/Middleburg Acad kid is staring straight at Good Mid DIJanuary 16, 2014 at 8:01 pm #13101or we have 13 schollies:)
January 16, 2014 at 8:27 pm #13103See 2 possibilities,CB is gone .Unlikely but possible,Besides academics he has a bad knee. But if he were wouldn’t Reed go for a Forward?
Glover is not on scholarship.
Any other possibilities?
January 16, 2014 at 8:28 pm #13104I’m not certain of anything but I heard from a reliable source a while back that Dr. Reed agreed to honor KM’s scholarship. I understand that it would not count against the NCAA limit. I have never felt however that it didn’t count against the Lehigh limit.
Just conjecture.January 16, 2014 at 8:39 pm #13105Geez,forgat all about his schollie. And what happens if AD takes a 5th year? Can he?

This makes me think that Glover is indeed a walk-on AND we have the full NCAA allotment of 13 scholarships. That would make the roster next year look like:
Sr: Stefan, Corey, Conroy
Jr: Devon, Justin Jesse,
So: Austin, Miles, Tim, Shane, John Ross (walk-on), Cole (walk-on), Georgios (walk-on)
Fr: Kahron, Tyler, BrandonNot including John Ross and the guys we know are walk-ons that is 13.
January 16, 2014 at 9:05 pm #13107Given our season so far, my next Q is how is his
on the ball D?January 16, 2014 at 9:41 pm #13108The interesting thing about Alston is that he must have reclassified back a year when entering Middleburg Academy.
’11-’12 was shown as his freshman year and ’12-’13 as hi sophomore year so he will only have 3 years of HS basketball.
Here are his stats for the 1st 2 years.Side note: Brandon is a McDonald’s All-American nominee this year.
January 16, 2014 at 9:48 pm #13109St.Benedicts Prep, Newark NJ.also Is listed on one of the sites. Middleburg and Life Center . Add up those do we get 4 yrs?

January 16, 2014 at 9:50 pm #13110Can anyone provide additional info about Khalid McCaskill who was identified as a preferred walk-on for LU in a tweet last night. Based on videos that are out there he definitely has game. I’m just not sure if I have that right – or when he would be eligible if transferring from UCLA.
January 16, 2014 at 10:07 pm #13112I know he was scheduled to visit PSU. As a WO he could certainly come to LU. ! yr rule applies I assume like with JRG. His twitter is locked so I have found no word about a transfer to LU either way. Interesting tho. Can he rebound?
January 16, 2014 at 11:50 pm #13114Here is UCLA’s writeup on him.

Interesting note:He has an 82″ wingspan.
I’m not sure if the one year rule applies. He did not play last year as a red shirt.
