Wow,didn’t know about connection to S and W. Back in the 70s we lived right down the block. More a date night place for us.
October 8, 2015 at 10:28 pm #22493Prediction: Lehigh 31 Bucknell 21
Lehigh will come out with a whole new offensive scheme using two backs, possibly a WingT style offense to mix things up.
I like Shaf and he is our QB and we have to have his back.
If we stick to the same old 5 plays we will loose.
D is playing much better and will shut down the Bison O, we just need a few points from our O.
GO ENGINEERS!October 8, 2015 at 10:33 pm #22494Agree ,anyone can defend us ,no matter how well we execute,if we run the same playsat the same times in the same sets. Bison have a solid D. Wing T? Loved John’s vrrsion of it.
October 8, 2015 at 10:42 pm #22495We are small and fast, the Wing T would serve us well!

If you’re wondering why it wasn’t Benson and Stillman instead of S&W, they actually took a Manhattan phone book and used the first two names they turned to. Might have been Goldberg and Ramirez.

But its comical to me how you constantly write about our secondary and all the good things they do, when everyone with eyes know theyre the weakest link on the D, and are the positions that needs revamped! LFN, are you a enabler

I think the secondary has improved alot this year. Problem with DBs is that any mistake is there for all to see, and a mistake can yield a lot as opposed to our DL, which I see as our weakest link so far. Totally outplayed and manhandled of late and no pressure on the QB…which also translates to more completed passes because no secondary can blanket all receivers if the QB has all day to throw.
October 9, 2015 at 3:06 am #22502LG,
Back 5 were indeed bad the start of the season. Soft coverage at CBs,no TOs,big plays… There has bedn a markd umprovement. Botts finally calling tivht coverage and Sughk has his guys playing aggressively. Tackling still shaky but better. Will it continue? Has to. DL has bedn toast last 2 games.BU OL good but not as good as last two. Stu bs is cleared, which should help. Lynn hopefully will get more PT.October 9, 2015 at 3:29 am #22504Can’t blame the DL for no pass rush. 3 on 5 is not a fair fight.
October 9, 2015 at 3:33 am #22505Agree. Rush is a factor of front 6 and well designd blitzes. My fault with DL is getting gashed by inside runs.
October 9, 2015 at 9:09 am #22508I hope D plays well and LU wins.
If not, Miami Dolphins just fired their defensive coordinator. They’re on track to give up 404 ypg this year.
My guess (and I hope I’m wrong): 35-31 BU. The Bisons will be fired up. Not much confidence in our overall D; sorry. Carter worries me, and I can see some trick plays heading our way.
I do like the DBs more aggressive style lately.
October 9, 2015 at 11:37 am #22509i hear you guys taking up for DBs saying they played decent last copuple games. But they werent really tested like earlier in the season either. Last three games weve giving up at LEAST 250yds rushing, why pass??? And when they did pass, we gave up over 8yds per catch. And on 3rd and 10 or better, my gosh we’re horrible. Nice to be postive though. The Dbs will be tested this weekend NO DOUBT! Lets see how you guys talk around 6pm Sat. I havent seen Githens getting snaps at practice, any word???
October 9, 2015 at 11:55 am #22510LG,
2ndary is not great but it is better and I think thry and Botts are finally on the right path together. If ee dont pressure the QB consistently, pass yardage will remain ugly.. No CB can cover for extended periods of time repeatedly. The plays that drove me nuts last year were the quick short passes and we blew the tackle and play went for big yds. Unlike last yr,DBs are usually in position with the chance to make a play. Still dont make them all but we make more of them now. Key is getting pressure on QB.October 9, 2015 at 11:01 pm #22527Game Breakdown and Fearless Prediction:

I can’t adequately explain it. But I’m on board.
October 10, 2015 at 4:49 pm #22548Bucknell WR Will Carter out of this game for “disciplinary reasons”. Wow.
October 10, 2015 at 4:58 pm #22549Wow indeed. Cant hurt. Course BU missing QB and RB last yr did not. Gotta scor today.
