This is going to be a really tough game. Buck deff looks like the team to beat. I don’t see us winning this game. That’s why that Loyola loss kills us even more. Not saying we don’t have a shot tomo night. But I worry about us defending hass. Also I like the big kids game. Look for me tomo night. Sitting on the court side floor seats. I need this Lehigh win to cheer me up. Die hard skins fan here. We got beat up by the pack. Ha 👎

The nation gets to see us play tonight
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30pm. Game will air on the CBS Sports Network
Travism, I’ll look for you and others during warm-ups behind the court-side floor seats

January 11, 2016 at 5:03 pm #24776All eyes might well be on #14 tonight. That is Bucknell’s 6’5” senior guard, Chris Haas. After all, he did pour in 40 against Army just 9 days ago and may hold the key to the Bison fortunes tonight. Here’ a brief look at his bio and his 2015-16 PL season stats rolling into Stabler.

FG% Overall .540 (.464 entire season)
PPG 22.5 (19.3 entire seaon)
2FG% .548
3FG% .370
FT% .830
RPG 4.3-
Chriss Haas vs. Lehigh (past 2 seasons)
2Ws and 2Ls
18 for 48 or .375
49 pts. or 12.3ppgWhile they don’t play the same position on the court, many think our chances of pulling an upset tonight might be in the hands of TK. Here’s a look at his experience against Bucknell which, as in CH’s numbers above reflect 2Ws and 2Ls.
20 for 38 or .526
44 pts. or 11ppg
P.S. The W’s occurred at StablerJanuary 11, 2016 at 6:00 pm #24777Don’t like our chances, as Bucknell is playing so well. KenPom prediction of a 2 point game gives me some hope.
January 11, 2016 at 6:24 pm #24778Very tough matchup, imo. I’d want to put somebody in Hass’ hip pocket, full-time. Maybe even box-and-one if we have to go zone; make somebody else beat us. Hass is listed at 6’5″ and is long; he’ll shoot right over a smaller guard. Of everyone I’ve seen in the PL so far this year, I think Hass is playing the best ball. He was fantastic in the game I saw at NC St. I’d envision putting AP on him, or JRG when AP sits. Can’t afford to think about putting JC on him; boards will be critical, I think. Bucky has 7 guys on the roster at 6’7″ and up, 4 of whom play significant minutes; I think the other 3 have battled injuries.
Foulland isn’t potent on the offensive end yet, but he’s a major concern on D. Given our issues with blocked shots, he could wreak havoc tonight. I suspect we’ll have to shoot and make 3s to stay in this one.January 11, 2016 at 10:40 pm #24783Yes, three of BU’s 6-7 plus players have been hurt. Zach Thomas, who was averaging 15 ppg, sprained his ankle a couple of weeks ago. He played the last two games but was clearly not at 100% and did very little. Backup center Ben Oberfeld suffered a serious skull fracture during the summer and then got a new concussion a few weeks ago. Obviously you won’t see him for a while – which hurts because he played well in PL games last winter. Also 6-8 freshman Nate Sestina recently separated his shoulder, just after scoring 10 points in 17 minutes in a fairly close game.
With these players out, that means a 6-7 backup PF must guard TK any time Foulland is out. That could be a big deal. As fo a box-and-one, that might be feasible if Thomas is still hurt. When he is healthy, it would be hard to focus that much on Hass without Thomas scoring a lot.

January 12, 2016 at 2:37 am #24789We made it a game for a while. Someday we’ll play a whole game.At this point,I would like to see if we could get 3 maybe 4 guys to play some thing approaching a complete game.
January 12, 2016 at 2:47 am #24790Totally agreed. But with that said, I think Bucknell is a very good squad this year.
I think TK played his best game so far. We just need more consistent production elsewhere. KL looks like he will be a very good scorer.January 12, 2016 at 2:52 am #24791The frustrating thing as all year. We lack depth not talent. Other than TK,did anyone else play a complete game. KL scored a lot and gave up a lot.
January 12, 2016 at 3:13 am #24792Stats pretty even but 3s
BU 11-22
LU. 5-17Otherwise we whupped’em. Yippee,smh.
January 12, 2016 at 5:46 am #24793Difference=depth. First half O quite uninspiring without TK. Some of these guys really getting schollies?
January 12, 2016 at 12:55 pm #24794can’t play whole game with starting 5 and lack of bench really shows against a good squad like buffs, starters are logging too many minutes as it is and you can really see the fatigue issues when guys get a step slow on D or can’t quite finish on O
January 12, 2016 at 1:11 pm #24795Dont disagree. Las 5 mins of game, fatigue evident. My point tho is that fatigue is not the cause of our first half play. Why? Nor does fatigue answer why we cant seem to get solid games from more than a couple of players in most games.
