Before the first game was played, before the first elbow thrown in emotional anger, before the first scuffle under the basket for a loose ball, there is an injury that could affect the Patriot League men’s basketball landscape.

Bucknell senior Stephen Tyree tore the ACL in his left knee in a non-contact practice drill last week. Though he is going to try to rest it for a while before attempting a comeback, this is a serious blow to the Bison, who were picked second in the coaches/SIDs preseason poll.

Big blow to the Bison if it’s a bad ACL tear, I think. Thoughts?

It’s a very high probability he is out for the year. For a player who relies on athleticism to rehab a full tear and play with a brace, it is virtually impossible.

That is a huge loss for BU, losing a former All-PL defensive player who has led them in assists, rebounds, and shooting pct.
