Game notes up.
Kurfis listed on 2 deep so maybe injury not too serious, Josh Parris capable back up.
O line shook up, Hood at tackle, Vuono at guard, Pelligini at center, douglas and daryoush on the other side. Lippincott, Moore, Rugg and Ruley on too deep, so depth may be OK?
Haggins appears to be out.
D nearly the same as for Monmouth, Francis on 2 deep at ILB instead of Gordon.
September 5, 2012 at 3:03 am #6592Sorry, did not see your post. Another senior moment. . Love seeing Vinny getting start, I hope he can do it.
September 5, 2012 at 8:27 pm #6603Nice article in Express. Andy notes Ruley has bad back, may play. Lippincott still not 100% from hip sugery. Does not sound like he will be for a while . Vuono moved into OG probably because mobility ltd. Hood seems to have settled in. As Andy said season hinges on getting a stable OL sooner the better. I have the feeling this yr will be a roller coaster, with lots of close games. Hopefully not a return to lots of close losses as in his 1st 3 yrs.
September 5, 2012 at 9:35 pm #6604Hope they stretch the field early, open up running game some.
September 8, 2012 at 6:07 pm #6613Turns out this game is on live, and for free: http://www.necfrontrow.com/webcast.php/CCSU-51/
Looks like another game like last week …
September 8, 2012 at 6:42 pm #6614Not nearly as many mistakes as last week. CCSU just not as good as Monmouth, game not really in question.
September 9, 2012 at 1:21 am #6615My life demanded my participation so missed 2nd half. Mike must have played better. He was an adventure in the firzt. CCSU not a good team. Next Princeton ,better opponent but also not good. Tiger D will however be good. We must get more consistency from Mike. OL did look good. CCSU’s DL was pretty bad.. I will enjoy win. Overall PL does not appear as weak asd some have said. Gate held up today.
September 9, 2012 at 2:24 pm #6618I only saw some of second half.
A work in progress … talent is mostly there.
I think potential is huge. Barket doesn’t look fully recovered, but still very good. Colvin is much improved and shows flashes of brilliance, but still taking a lot of risks … OL and DL works in progress …
I’d love to see a count on how many tackles were missed. Seems to be more than I’m used to seeing from LU.
LBs looked tough, but not as fast as in prior years.
DBs hot and cold. Gotta feel for our guys having to cover someone 6-6.
Barring injuries, bad luck and mental messups, these guys could go undefeated, improving every week … They need starting TE back.
September 9, 2012 at 3:56 pm #6619Agree need TE back. OL better this game except CCSU a really bad team. Monmouth pretty bad too and both games were in question until Q4. Our QB play is really questionable at best and mostly bad. He’s been doing the same thing for 4 years I’ve watched – many bad plays then a good one. Spadola only get two balls??!! Andy needs to get the other guys on the field to see what we have behind Mike. I thought D played well both games considering how long they were on the field.
