5’10’160 played in 8 man league. Team MVP ,165 tackles in 9 games . Selected for local All Star game in LA.
May 4, 2010 at 3:57 am #2068Is this an ‘added’ recruit for the coming season, or someone we’re recruiting for entering in 2011?
May 4, 2010 at 1:32 pm #2069According to article in LA Times he is a recruit for this year. Heck of a jump from 8 man ball to FCS, altho kid was selected with 2 others from the conference for a local LA All Star game for all HS seniors. Apparently he is known out there for his open field tackling.
May 4, 2010 at 2:04 pm #2070A very nice, late get from California! We are stockpiling DBs like nobody’s business. Hard to project if he would be a safety or corner potentially.
May 5, 2010 at 3:51 am #2071Gonna hafta get some meat on da bone, though!
May 5, 2010 at 4:02 am #2072John Kennedy was also 5’10" 160 lbs when he first donned a Lehigh uniform. Is there an official release from the University adding Villasenor to the freshman recruiting class?

his highlight film from this past season:

Hillcrest Christian plays its home games at Granada Hills High School’s historic John Elway Stadium.
Including all 11 man football high schools, he led the CIF Southern Section in tackles at the end of the regular season:

the CIF Southern Section is the largest section in the country for high school sports.
Playing only 9 games for the season, he finished ranked 6th in the State of California in tackles/game at 18.3:

Hillcrest Christian School plays in the 8-man football Heritage League, which is the 2nd ranked 8-man football league in the country:

Two of the teams in the Heritage League, Faith Baptist (all white in video above) and Santa Clarita Christian (all black in video) were the top two 8-man teams in California and ranked in the top 20 in the country:
http://calpreps.com/2009/ratings/National_all_8man.htm
Faith Baptist was ranked #1 in the country at the time that Hillcrest played them and shown in the video and arguably has had the best football program in 8-man football in the country during the last 30 years.
The top player in the Heritage League, 6’2" 235 lb LB/RB Collin Keoshian of Santa Clarita Christian (with 4.5 second 40-yard speed) is considered the top player in the country in 8-man football and received a full athletic scholarship from BYU, a top 10 Div. IA school. This is his amazing highlight film:
