Game Notes

Reading all the excellent posts under the Bucknell Game thread, you lose sight of the fact that there is still a game to be played to close out this season’s play. Of course, win or lose, we still have at least one more to go in the post-season tournament before re-hashing what might have been or looking ahead to the 2014-15 campaign. Granted, the odds are slim that we advance through the tournament, end up League Champs and head off to the NCAAs. But, stranger things have happened…..I think. Wouldn’t it be fun to beat the Raiders in our final home game and head up to Worcester on Wednesday to redeem ourselves and issue a payback for the 42-61 (LU’s 29.6% shooting) and 67-72 (close throughout but never able to take the lead) losses sustained over the past two months? After that, who knows! Just saying, don’t close the book on this team this season quite yet.
Look forward to seeing many of you at the game tomorrow.
March 1, 2014 at 10:03 pm #13783Well we’ve gone from cardiac losses to routs.smh. Now to Cross on Wed.
March 2, 2014 at 4:28 am #13787That was one horrible exhibition of basketball. I can’t believe this is the same team I saw a couple weeks ago. Despite numerous errors/miscues, etc., I was most troubled by the lack of any interest in offensive rebounding. The moment we shoot, the players are heading down the court. Numerous opportunities for offensive rebounding thrown away. Is that Reed’s plan figuring we can’t rebound? Whatever happened to ‘following your shot’? I was smh a lot this afternoon.
March 2, 2014 at 4:48 pm #13792The team just didn’t even show up yesterday. Will be interesting to see if they put up any fight against HC or just mail it in to get the season over with.
March 3, 2014 at 4:16 pm #13794New season, everyone is 0-0 why not just go out and win the whole thing, not impossible. Get by HC and probably get rubber game against BU. Just need to play with HEART!

March 3, 2014 at 7:36 pm #13807If there’s anyone more optomistic than me it’s you, pafan11. I like your thinking. It is afterall the 3rd season, if you count OOC as Season 1, and the only one that really matters.
Somehow get by Holy Cross on Wednesday and hope that Colgate, who should shut down Navy tonight, does the same to American on Wednesday. Remember, they did upset AU at Bender three weeks ago. What do you get?! A rematch with Colgate on Saturday at Stabler with a date for the finals on the line! Now wouldn’t that be something?
Someone said it time for me to take my medication. See ya.
March 3, 2014 at 7:46 pm #13810We can win. Slow down Burrell. Need another big to score, stop DT on Tim. MM must play PG. Not easy but doable.
