One more weekend.January 26, 2014 at 11:41 pm #13334Interesting — as many kids from Florida (2) and Georgia (2) as Pennsylvania (2).
January 27, 2014 at 12:20 am #13335Surprised if our ratio of NE to rest of the US changes by a lot. NE only 1/3 of this list. Reverse of past years. Looking at other PL lists ,other than Bucknell all seem to be going for ahigher percentage of kids out of the NE. We’llsee. If all of these sign, may be looking at 5 to 9 more depending on how Andy splits up schollies.

Pelletier to announce his decision on Wed. Between LU,Maine,Albany and Sacred HeartJanuary 28, 2014 at 2:06 am #13343Just for fun, took a look at the class of 2014 and how they were presented as incoming players. Many got high praise, and comments from fans. A few never made it to their senior year. I looked at this years captains…..Nigel was one of the highest rated players in that class and broke into the lineup as a JR. Sherman was injured his senior year of HS,probably never would have ended up at Lehigh if healthy. Ward had no other offers besides D3 VA schools. The most intriguing is Kurfis. Not much interest among FSC schools, had many D2 looking his way.Lee had more catches against Colgate than his entire senior year of HS.Guess what I’m trying to say is,you never know what you’re getting until the kids get to camp. Hope we found a few more diamonds in the rough this year.
January 28, 2014 at 2:28 am #13344Miller,
My favorite was Rabih Abdullah who had 12 catches as a TE in his senior year of HS. The one thing I like about this year’s class is speed.January 28, 2014 at 2:31 am #13345Aint it the truth. Andy has a very good eye for talent. His classes have been solid every year. This class so far has little acclaim. Cetainly not in comparison with other recruit classes in PL.
Do hope he is not spending too much time looking for diamonds in the rough and passing up on others. The troubling part tho is past classes usually had quite a few A-S ,All Area kids. This class has very few so far. Dont know what that means,Really guess we wont know for 2-3 yrs.January 28, 2014 at 2:35 am #13346TMH,
Remember going with Kevin to scout Rabih. I saw an undersized TE/SB who had some speed. Kevin saw a Halfback. ( He too was a heavy legged kid in HS :))
January 28, 2014 at 2:49 am #13347Before I come off as negative on our recruits. I’m not. They are athletic ,with some very good speed. Many are certainly kids we would not have gotten w/o schollies.Haven’t watched all the video of other PL recruits but a lot. Most look about the same as ours in many respects. Pards probably have deepest and best class, then Fordham and Gate.We are in the middle but we have by far the smallest class. Cross finally getting some speed and athletes. Bucknell a QB and loading up on D. Much too early, lets see how we do with the rest of our class.
