Anyone have an update on who has come in for official visits recently, or will be coming before signing day?

LU not back til 35th. Guessing there will be visits over the next couple of weeks. Class over half done from what we know. Caveat,it is likely we dont know all pending offers or even all verbals. Active recruiting starts again this weekend.
A lot of prospects have already been to campus. Overnight visits with recruits bunking with some players not really an option now.

Thanks for the info. Just curious, what do you mean active recruiting will start back this weekend? Are there NCAA restrictions or is it just because kids will be coming back to school.

I understand we may only ‘lose’ one player from the break in incident. Some were suspended from school this semester, but can come back in the fall and one was totally exonerated. So we may not have as much a ‘fall out’ as initially thought.

Pretty much what I heard. Seems all but perhaps one will be able to come back.

Mo Hassan, QB from Dillard HS, ** per Rivals indicated that it is between Lehigh, Fla Tech and Howard. I’m biased but…..

Saw that on twitter. Agree. Think its first come first served between him and Monaco. Monaco a Shaf style QB. Mo very raw but has the size and arm.A project.
Puhl looks definite from his tweeting a picture of him on a Lehigh background.

Just noticed that Kadeem Smith no longer on roster. Our top OL recruit in that class. Injuries have kept him off the field for the last 2 years. Thus may give Andy an additional schollie for this year.
Guess he has between 5-7 left.
Impossible to accurately determine the amont of aid already expended as we still have a few with need grants and partials can vary in amount, altho I assume most are 1/2s.
Lehigh guarantes to meet 100% of need for students. I assume a recruit on a half schollie who still shows need will get additional aid from LU to meet the 100% guarantee. Under PL rules it seems that aid would count towards the 60 cap,if awarded as a grant.

I didn’t think they can “mix and match” scholarship and grant-in-aid money per PL rules?

PL bylaws can be daunting to read. For football, all aid to recruited players counts towards the Schollie cap.How the aid is labelled makes no difference. I think the rule was enacted to account for the amount of need aid dispensed prior to schollies during the transition period to full schollie. Secondarily,it is intended as a budget cap to forestall schools with deeper financial assets from outspending those with less or with Title IX issues. Last year PL amended bylaws to permit 3 true WOs to be added to rosters and not subject to either the roster or schollie caps. Theoretically, teams can have up to 63 equivalencies.
I expect ,as all PL schollie squads settle in at 60 full schollies there will be gradual modifications to schollie and red shirt rules.
The competition in the northesat for recruits has become markedly more competitive over the last 10 years. The Ivies led by HYP have amped up their financial aid to almost FBS levels without the NCAA limits on the permitted number of recruits. Besides the CAA and recruiters from all over the country,we have the NEC. NEC has a 40 schollie cap but allows need aid up to the NCAA cap of 63.

Got it. Thanks. I thought they’d eventually modify that rule.
