Wondering why so many OL. Andy like bringing in 4-5 every year. Hard to do now but the uncrftainty asto Short’s availability ndxt year may factor into the push ghis year. His shoulder surgery sdnt perfectly but Docs found a blood clot in his lung. May be rather simple to treat of not. Depends on extent and cause for it which hss yet to bd determindd.

    best I can tell we have 16 commits that we think we know of;

    2 QB
    2 TE
    4 DB
    2 OL
    2 DL
    1 LB
    1 WR
    1 Ath
    1 P

not sure how many spots we have on roster, but should be around 18 – 20?

OK, after looking at roster maybe we have 22-24 spots available?

so maybe somebody already answered this, but Gage Wilson is shown of the roster, did he enroll early second semester? so is he a definite commit?

Rich? TMH? someone in the know?

Gage turned out to be a 2015 recruit and was on the roster in 2015. Joe McCollum who was also recruited to kick never made it I suppose. I’m not sure if Wilson was added to replace him.

OK, he was on the spreadsheet so I thought he was a 2016 recruit, thanks for clarifying

Thatwas my bad. Gage likely a PWO. WE have w or 3 recruited WOs rest are true WOs that usually dont stay.

The TANK himself. If Alex is as tough we’ll be set for years.

    #17. Derek Lomax OC 6’2 270 Hammonton NJ 2*
Other Rmy Bucknell and Michigan as a PWO. With Short’s uncertain future a crucial get.
Looks like we are at 19 including Tugman and Sheets.

I wouldn’t label this as a “sexy” class of recruits but it may be a very efficient one. It certainly addresses needs on defense and our name guys are only as good as the “beef” in front of them. Only the future will tell how good this class will be.
My feeble mind seems to remember that Woody Hayes used to recruit by position. Year 1 for example would be DL and RBs. Year 2 would be DB and wide receivers etc. This sorta has that feel.
