And I do not understand how a coach who wants to play smash mouth football can get himself into position where he has no quality running backs.

Guys you continue to ask very good questions. However, I have no idea why you would expect a rationale answer from an irrationale coaching staff. :?

Agreed with all the above..plus, why didn’t we use our timeouts at the end of the first half when Princeton was content to run the ball at their end of the field? We could have forced a punt with about 45 secs left–many things can happen, but even assuming a punt, we get the ball in the mid-field range and at least get a shot at a fg before half. I shake my head. Andy did the same thing last year at Princeton just before the half, where I recall we had the ball with about a min. before the half and chose to go to the locker room. I agree as to ‘where was Campbell in the second half?’ The guy was doing real good the first half. To have twice as many yards, three times as many first downs, and lose like that is very disheartening. However, I did sense a more ‘energy’ from the offense when Lum entered the game. He throws a much better ball than Clark. JB’s passes have been floating–the interception against CCSU, the interception today in the second quarter was a horribly thrown ball and just a poor play to throw that far across the field. He doesn’t have the arm for that. :x
