Wow, Duke in the state of NC, wow. I know I’m crazy, and all these games vs a 2 seed are tough, obviously, but Duke is stylistically, size, and line-up wise about as good a match-up as possible for us. Doesn’t mean anything, but still. They play man to man, they play 3 guards at all times, and they have 3 bigs(all pretty athletic plumlees + kelly(didn’t play in acc tourney due to ankle). They have no wings really, it is legit 3 guard line-up. We can go matchup by matchup later, but I’ll tell you this, I don’t see a huge role for JH in this game. He is undersized to handle any of the Duke bigs and way to slow to handle rivers, curry, dawkins, cook or thornton. BJB has to get big minutes here again to try to control the duke perimeter game on offense, and hopefully they have tough time guarding CJ. GK, JA, JM, HG just got to try to get as many def boards as possible, and hope duke 3-ball is off as it was in ACC tourney. To win a game against a team like this, when we’re undersized no matter who we play, you need it to be vs a team that chucks up a ton o f 3’s, and hope they miss, Duke takes a ton. Stat: They took 713 3’s out of 1857 total FG attempts, huge percentage man….Duke in NC, prepare to get no calls, but this will be fun…wow wow wow…
FIRED UP
March 11, 2012 at 11:16 pm #5320I wonder how big the Lehigh ticket allotment is. This would be a great road trip.

March 11, 2012 at 11:17 pm #5322Don’t just take my word for it…but I saw a ton of VT guards getting in the paint..
It’s a credit to the ongoing brilliance of Mike Krzyzewski that this Duke team has so effectively masked its flaws all season, but boy, are there flaws: rebounding, perimeter defense and inside scoring, just to name a few. Which is why this season’s Blue Devils fans — who typically approach each year with a national-title-or-bust mindset — might be better off hoping for a solid performance and a deep tournament run. If the Blue Devils get hot from beyond the arc, they’re incredibly difficult to beat. But can you win a title on the strength of outside shooting alone? The reasonable expectation is no.
March 11, 2012 at 11:19 pm #5323Already working TMH, when we find out game time??? I mean not sure it matter, we know Duke is night game, prime time for petes sake. Meaning folks have all day to get down to NC on Friday.

Then you are kicked out of the arena. At about 6 or 7 you have 2 more games. Followed byt the 3rd set of 2 games on Sunday. The participating schools usually each have a section of seats. Truthfully though I have always been amazed how many seats were open when their team wasn’t playing. Perhaps if you get your seats through the university, the ticket arrangement is different.
March 12, 2012 at 12:12 am #5326Love matchup, but tough considering Duke is less than an hour from Greensboro.
