11 signed today. Mickens WR did not. An excellent group. Only 3 D players albeit all good still too few. Rybka is a true difference maker. A real coup.
O reloaded very well .4 stud OL 2 WRs .
Allen and Beesmer both had multiplr Ivy offers.Allen was Princeton’s top pick at RB. Always nice to stick Ivies.
Andy looking to add 2 or 3 more now.
Capped interview with “and perhaps some in the fall”. Transfers ???

My typo. No Mickens still lists himself as a commit on his twitter. ESD has 2 more days to run.
Think the recent spate of offers are likely for PWOs.

just checked other PL webs, Pards, Gate, Cross, Buffs look to have signed the majority of their classes (11-16 each), Hoyas MIA on signing day as always and nothing posted on Rams web (they may be in disarray with coaching turnover)

Andy’s comment about maybe a couple in the fall very unusual, with 3 fifth year guys this year I wonder if we have some more money to spend next year?

Fordhams list on twitter. A load of OL and a QB headline their class. Good job by assts without a HC or likely a future at Fordham.
Casey Jones and Kelsey eligible for 5th. Q s/b back as he had to leave scool for a semester.
All 3 are full rides I think.
We wont know for sure until April on them. So I dont think fall refers to 5th yrs. PWOs are usually announced so again not a fall issue. True WOs? Heck we never know them until they pop up on roster.
Transfers? Possible but transfers at Lehigh are rarer than hen’s teeth. Could Navy game be a source for transfers? Guess so.
So without further ado, I have no idea what Andy was referring to. :) Could be any of them. Whatever it is I hope it is good news.

Thanks marco. An impressive haul so far. Andy certainly has restocked the O.
3 D recruits are very good . Rybka is a beast. We need more up front.
Without a better D, we will score lots of points but have a hard time breaking 500.

did not know that Casey was eligible for a 5th year, would be terrific if he comes back

I am worried that only one LB in this class, not so much for next year but 2019, LBs get hurt and even with 4-2 you need 3 or 4 ready to go at all times, and playing little DBs at rover gets you run over

Agree. We fed our success in this class and barely fed our D.
Since The Yankee Stdium year we have consistently failed to control the edge on D. This past season it was a fiasco. Hope to see more D recruits filling out this class.

Class looks very good in many ways.

Still, as Van said, only one LB. And he’s 6-1, 215, good size for a DB.

Until we start recruiting DBs 6-foot, 190 or better and linebackers (would be nice to have three and skip the rover) who can play like Mike Groome — 6-3, 225 or 230 — our D will continue to be a sieve unless we get REALLY, REALLY lucky.

    DEFENSE WINS CHAMPIONSHIPS!

Not real concerned with DB height. Ours are decent cover guys but our tackling is abysmal. Most of the numerous big runs vs us this year included one or more missed tackles. Get these guysvto tackle and D improves. Next dont play a DB at Rover unlessvhebis over 200 lbs. DL needs to at least stalemate the LOS to keep OL off LBs and a pass rush.
LBs , other than Walker seemed lost. Athletic and fast but need to be going in the right direction.

Oh well the rest ofvthat I can repeat during Spring camp. Now we need to finish this class. Hopefully with some more DL and LBs .

Just watched the Hudl videos of our OL signings….Justin Gurth looks like a sleeper….his DL work on his video is darn good. At 6’3″ and 280 he is a space eater. He might see playing time on DL faster!

Here is an article on Gurth’s signing
    http://www.dailyrecord.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2017/12/20/parsippany-hills-lineman-signs-lehigh-football/964449001/

Ironically, he was HM All-State as a defensive lineman, not on offense.

Fun fact. Gena Grundhoffer’s (basketball) brother was part of the Lafayette class. We got the better looking one :-)

Gurth would really fit on DL. Very active . Big and athletic. He would be a fine OG. We have a bunch of those right now.

Wouldnt have minded getting Gena’s brother.
