Boy , Navy clobbered by Slippery Rock and Cross embarassed by Assumption. Cross board is apoplectic.
Not a great start for those two.

Ouch!! Although exhibitions don’t tend to mean a whole lot, the 2nd one is a shocker to me. It has always ben my understanding that a Div 1 college can either have open srimmages against Div 2 and 3 schools or closed scrimmages against other Div 1 schools. Can anyone verify this?

If so, I will assume that Lehigh has chosen the latter. Does anyone know who we scrimmaged and how well it went? Why don’t we scrimmage Muhlenburg rather than put them on the schedule?

Yes, a school can play any combination of two exhibitions and/or scrimmages.   The exhibitions are open to the public and play under normal rules.    The scrimmages are closed and can follow any format the two coaches want.   No official score may be kept.

LU played Columbia this past Saturday.   Not sure of the other one.

    Some other PL scrimmages:

    American – Longwood

    Army – Cornell

    Bucknell – Youngstown State, Albany

    Colgate – LeMoyne

    Holy Cross – Bryant

    Lafayette – Cornell, St. Joes

    Navy – Longwood

LU’s other scrimage was against LIU.

Thank you for the information. As a fan, I would loved to have seen an exhibition game but as a basketball purist, I understand that coaches can get a lot more from scrimmaging a D1 school, especially with the early schedule that Lehigh and Bucknell are playing.

Much prefer Doc uses games bs competitive teams rather than a D III squad.
