Fall Softball

I know there are some softball fans on the board so I’ll throw this out. This is supposed to be a rebuilding year, having to replace almost the entire infieldd and an outfielder. Based solely on thre results of a doubleheader with Kutztown, the cupboard will not be bare.

Ashley Cole who really came on at the end of last year (she was a Maxprep AA i HS) was 5 for 6 with runs scored and 2 RBIs

Reva Alderman was 4 for 6 with 3 RBIs

Mary Hannah Smith was 2 for 2 with a run scored

Lexi Van Ooyen was 1 for 4 with an RBI

Parker Boyd pitched 4 innings allowing 1 hit and no walks. Sorem pitched 3 perfect innings.

Lehigh won both games 9-4 and 3-0.

Followed games on Gamschanger from Fran. Spoiled this yr with a pitching staff not just 1 good pitcher and some bodies. Got some hitters in the young’uns.
Even so more rebuilding than reloading this year.
