61. Holy Cross – 7,615
68. Lehigh – 6,815
69. Lafayette – 6,779
72. Colgate – 6,720
86. Bucknell – 5,352
96. Fordham – 4, 291
110. Georgetown – 2,538October 27, 2010 at 3:55 am #2528Sad. In years past I would expect 10-12,000 at Goodman for the upcoming Colgate game. I will be shocked if there are even close to 10,000 in the stands. Colgate will bring very few along, and over half the student body will be doing "other things". With LC hosting "The Game" this year, they’ll end up with hightest average attendance in the league.
October 27, 2010 at 6:07 am #2529TheFan predicts an attendance of 9,628 for the Colgate at Lehigh game….
October 28, 2010 at 1:28 am #2535I’ll say 8,902.

October 28, 2010 at 4:49 pm #2538To put this year’s number in perspective, consider the following:
A. 10,451 fans will be needed on Saturday to surpass the decade low mark of 7,542 set during the 2008 season.
B. 13,390 supporters of college football will be needed at Goodman this weekend to match last year’s season average mark of 8,130.
C. The steady decline in home attendance since the turn of the century – whether we host the L-L Game or not.

October 29, 2010 at 6:15 pm #2543I looked into this on my blog today, and found some stuff out:
http://lehighfootballnation.blogspot.co … -wont.html
It talks a lot about specific issues with Lehigh and Colgate in terms of attendance, but it actually goes into larger issues with scheduling and planning of campus events. It’s family weekend up at Colgate this weekend, virtually guaranteeing no visiting turnout at the game and ruining a potential weekend where family and alums might attend a game. Shouldn’t schools do a better job with this?
Family weekend used to be a big time – not all that long ago, either – where students and family went to spend time together. Family would spring for tickets for themselves, and students would get in for free. Bigger crowds, rents happy, more fun. But now, family weekend at Lehigh and Colgate are on non-football weekends, wrecking four different weekends for fans to travel and less to do athletically on family weekend.
I think that’s a big reason why attendance has been bad this year.
