A new beginning. Past yr frustrating in some sports, disappointing in others. Lax may pick up but rest of spring, even softball looks mediocre.
Today tho practice begins. Lots of new faces and lots of change. A bit scary but exciting to me. D almost all new. O key skill spots need to be filled well.
Which qb will step up? To me all other issues come in a distant second. Shafnisky will be the future. Can he be ready for this yr?
Coaches gabe him his playbook, which he describec.ad ” bigger than a phone book”. We’ll see.
Roster updated removing srs. Usual preview up on site. No surprises caught my eye

Other than QB, O should be pretty set.

Lot of questions on the D.  ILBs, DLs, CBs.

Yup, but less concerned about D. Lots of PT back at LB and DB. DL experienced, if not as good on paper as last yr. ZZILBs Robb and Mitchell both very fast and athletic but very light.
IMO, PL a skill position,ie QB, driven league. For us, a manager will work given our O schemes. Just recall Keating. BB should know O. Can he make correct reads and execute on time?

Chick compares BB’s arm to Lum’s. Not as strong as Colvin, but more consistently accurate. I can live with that.  Making the correct reads is the most important thing for a QB. Transition is usually not a huge problem on defense. Lots of good athletes, especially soph dB’s. Just need to make good football decisions. I am optimistic.

Sounds like BB has inside track at QB, no surprise I guess.  RB injuries sounds ominous, hope nothing serious.  OL strong, unlike last spring.

RB injuries are not serious, for the most part.
